Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Where are you located? We are proudly located in Vicksburg, MS! All of our wooden goods are designed and cut right here in our shop.

Do you take custom orders? Absolutely! We love bringing new ideas to life. Whether it’s a specific wood sign, a custom shirt design, or a unique DIY kit, please email us at mahoganyqueendesignco@gmail.com to start the conversation.

DIY Art Kits

What kind of wood do you use for the kits? We use premium Birch wood. It’s sturdy, has a beautiful natural grain, and provides a smooth surface that is perfect for painting.

Does the kit come with everything I need? Yes! Our kits are "all-in-one." They include the wood pieces, a paint strip, brushes, sponges, and adhesive. You just need a cup of water to rinse your brushes!

My kit has individual letters for the name. How do I attach them? Each kit comes with a tube of adhesive. We recommend painting the letters first, letting them dry completely, and then using small dots of glue to secure them to the base.

Personalization & Shipping

How long will it take to get my order? * Standard Items: 3–5 business days.

Personalized/Custom Items: 7–10 business days for production.

• Please note: Shipping time is in addition to production time.

Can I return a personalized item? Because personalized items are made specifically for you, all sales are final on custom products. For non-personalized items, please see our [Shipping & Returns] page for details.

What if I made a mistake on the spelling for my order? Please double-check all spelling before checking out! We engrave and cut exactly what is provided in the "Special Instructions" box. If you notice an error immediately after ordering, email us right away, and we will try to fix it if production hasn't started.

Apparel & Care

How do I wash my custom t-shirt? To keep your DTF or Sublimation prints looking vibrant:

1. Turn the shirt inside out.

2. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle.

3. Hang dry (preferred) or tumble dry on low heat.

4. Never iron directly on the design.

Safety

Are your craft kits safe for toddlers? Our kits contain small parts (like name letters and small wood accents) that are a choking hazard. We recommend our kits for children ages 3 and up, and adult supervision is required at all times.
